What is cremation jewelry?

Cremation jewelry is a meaningful way to keep the memory of someone you love close to your heart.

At COCORO, each pendant is individually handcrafted using a small amount of cremation ashes, carefully incorporated into fused glass.

The result is a beautiful, one-of-a-kind keepsake honoring a love that never leaves.

Is COCORO jewelry made with resin or glass?

Our jewelry is handcrafted using fused glass, not resin.

We use a traditional glass-fusing technique in which layers of glass are heated in a kiln at approximately 1,500°F (815°C) or higher.

A small amount of cremation ashes is carefully incorporated into the glass during this process, creating a lasting memorial keepsake.

Can you create jewelry using human or pet ashes?

Absolutely.

We welcome cremation ashes from both people and beloved pets.

Whether you are remembering a parent, spouse, child, dear friend, or cherished animal companion, every life is honored with the same care, dignity, and respect.

Can I share my loved one's story with you?

We would be honored to hear about them.

You are welcome to share their name, a favorite memory, or anything you would like us to know about the life you are celebrating.

Sharing their story is entirely optional, but it allows us to approach your keepsake with an even deeper sense of connection and intention.

Can you incorporate hair, fur, or nails instead of ashes?

At this time, we work exclusively with cremation ashes.

Our glass-fusing process requires kiln temperatures of approximately 1,500°F or higher, making hair, fur, and nails unsuitable for this technique.

Ordering & Shipping

How do I order my cremation jewelry?

Choose your favorite pendant design, select your preferred necklace chain length, and place your order securely through our website.

After your order is placed, we will provide instructions for preparing and transferring a small amount of cremation ashes.

Each piece is individually handcrafted with care and attention.

How much cremation ash do I need to send?

Approximately one teaspoon is sufficient for most orders.

Only a small portion is incorporated into your keepsake. We recommend sending only the requested amount rather than the original urn or your entire supply of ashes.

Where do I send the ashes?

After placing your order, you will receive an email containing our designated mailing address and shipping instructions.

Please wait for these instructions before sending the ashes.

How should I ship the ashes?

Cremated remains must be shipped using USPS Priority Mail Express and the required USPS Cremated Remains packaging.

Please place the requested amount in a securely sealed, sift-proof container and follow the shipping instructions provided after your order.

Do I have to mail the ashes myself?

Not necessarily.

Depending on your location and how you place your order, we may arrange collection through a participating funeral home or cremation provider.

For customers in the Los Angeles South Bay area, personal pickup may also be available by prior arrangement.

Who pays for shipping?

Customers are responsible for the cost of sending cremation ashes to COCORO.

COCORO provides complimentary shipping of your completed keepsake within the United States, including the return of any unused ashes.

Will I receive the unused ashes back?

Yes. Any unused ashes will be carefully and respectfully returned along with your completed jewelry.

How long will my order take?

Our typical creation time is approximately one week after receiving the ashes.

Shipping and transit times are additional.

Will I receive a tracking number?

Yes. We will provide tracking information when your completed order has been shipped.

Can I order multiple keepsakes for family members?

Absolutely.

You may order multiple pendants to share a meaningful remembrance with family members or loved ones.

Please contact us if you need assistance coordinating multiple keepsakes.

Your Jewelry & Keepsake

Will my jewelry look exactly like the photographs?

Each COCORO pendant is individually handcrafted using real fused glass and cremation ashes.

Natural variations in glass, color, and the placement of ashes make every piece unique.

Your finished keepsake may have subtle differences from the photographs, making it truly one of a kind.

Are the ashes permanently incorporated into the glass?

A small amount of cremation ashes is incorporated into layers of glass during the kiln-firing process.

The ashes become part of the finished fused-glass keepsake rather than being placed in a removable compartment.

Can I choose my necklace chain length?

Yes. Available necklace chain lengths can be selected on the product page before placing your order.

If you have a special request, please contact us before ordering.

How should I care for my COCORO jewelry?

Treat your keepsake with the same care as other delicate glass jewelry.

Avoid dropping it onto hard surfaces, exposing it to sudden impacts, or using harsh cleaning chemicals.

Gently clean the glass with a soft cloth and store your jewelry safely when not in use.

Can I order through a funeral home or cremation provider?

Yes. COCORO welcomes partnerships with funeral homes, cremation providers, and memorial service professionals.

Through participating partners, we may be able to arrange the transfer of ashes directly, making the ordering process easier for families.

Availability depends on the partner and location.

Can COCORO create keepsakes for several family members or a Celebration of Life?

Yes. We welcome inquiries about creating multiple keepsakes for families and memorial gatherings.

Please contact us to discuss the number of pieces, preferred designs, and your desired timeline.

Because every piece is individually handcrafted, advance planning is recommended for larger orders.
