My Story

The Story Behind COCORO

A Story of Love, Loss, and Connection

I had a precious baby named Cocoro.

In Japanese, Cocoro means “heart.”

My beloved baby passed away, and that loss led me to spend a long time reflecting deeply on life, death, and the meaning of love.

Throughout my life, I have also rescued and cared for many cats, welcoming them into my family and staying by their side until their final moments.

Through these experiences, I have come to understand how deeply love and loss are connected.

We all experience many kinds of loss throughout our lives.

Sometimes, goodbye comes unexpectedly, before we have had a chance to prepare our hearts.

When someone we love passes away, whether a person or a cherished animal companion, their absence can leave an emptiness that feels impossible to fill.

Yet, through my own experiences, I began to wonder:

What if we could transform our grief into something beautiful?

What if, instead of remembering a precious life only through sadness, we could honor that life through something we could see, touch, and hold close?

This is how COCORO Cremation Jewelry was born.
